James Harry McKnight, a 39-year-old officer with the West Sacramento Police Department, tragically lost his life on June 15, 1990. Officer McKnight was fatally shot in the head while serving a warrant at a residence on Quincy Street in Madison, California. He was part of the Northern California Task Force on Narcotics, which was conducting the operation. The suspect involved in the incident was also shot and killed during the confrontation.
