Donald P. Scott, a 61-year-old Caucasian male, was fatally shot on October 2, 1992, during a police raid at his ranch in the Santa Monica Mountains near Malibu, California. The raid was conducted by a multi-agency task force, including the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Border Patrol, the California National Guard, and the National Park Service.
