Jose William Ortiz Marin, aged 32, was fatally shot on February 28, 2016, in Long Beach, California. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of Norman Court, near Lincoln Elementary School. Marin was found deceased at the scene when police responded to the location. After an extended investigation, authorities arrested Richard Anthony Meza in 2017. Meza, aged 32 at the time of his arrest, was taken into custody in Pomona and charged with murder.
