On February 19, 1997, Brendan Neal Abernathy, a 12-year-old boy from Hercules, California, was tragically murdered along with his father, Neal Abernathy. The crime took place in their home on Dunham Court, a quiet cul-de-sac in the upscale Hercules by the Bay subdivision. Brendan and his father were found tied up with electrical cables and shot execution-style in the head.
