Josue Hernandez was killed on July 25, 1998, in East Los Angeles, California. His death was part of a violent incident involving rival gang members. Hernandez, along with Leonardo Ponce, was shot to death in what authorities believe was a retaliatory attack for an earlier assault on an associate. The killings were part of a series of violent crimes attributed to gang conflicts in the area.
