Jeffrey Lynn Azuar, a 50-year-old police officer from Vallejo, California, tragically lost his life on April 12, 2000. Officer Azuar was a well-respected member of the Vallejo Police Department, having served for 21 years. On the day of his death, Officer Azuar and another officer were attempting to serve a failure to appear warrant on a suspect named Joseph R. Teitgen. The officers located Teitgen hiding in a garage.
