On August 7, 2020, Daniel Chavez, a 22-year-old resident of Vallejo, California, was tragically killed in a shooting incident. The incident occurred at a shopping center on the 3000 block of Sonoma Boulevard. According to reports, Chavez entered a business at the shopping center shortly before 3 p.m. and got into an argument with someone exiting the building.
