Inspector Raymond Joseph Giacomelli, a dedicated member of the Pittsburg Police Department, tragically lost his life on April 15, 2003, at the age of 46. Giacomelli, who had served the department for 23 years, was conducting a murder investigation at a residence on Abbott Avenue in Pittsburg, California.
