Irma Martinez, a 47-year-old woman from Pico Rivera, California, tragically lost her life on July 16, 2005. She was fatally shot by her estranged husband, Armando Martinez, in a brutal act of domestic violence. The incident occurred while Irma was at her father's house, where she had been staying following her separation from Armando earlier that year.
