Alan Torres, an 18-year-old Latino male, was tragically killed on May 4, 2007, in Los Angeles, California. The incident occurred in the 3100 block of Gleason Avenue, within the jurisdiction of the LAPD's Hollenbeck Division. According to reports, Torres was struck by gunfire at approximately 6:02 p.m. on that fateful day. Witnesses recounted that a 17-year-old Latino youth approached Torres and shot him multiple times.
