Julio Ramirez, a 21-year-old Latino man, tragically lost his life on July 29, 2007, in Paramount, California. The incident occurred during a family gathering on the evening of July 28, 2007, when Ramirez and another young man, Benjamin Velasco, were shot by drive-by gunmen. The shooting took place in the 15300 block of Hayter Avenue, a neighborhood known for gang activity.
