Oscar Torres, a 38-year-old man from Avocado Heights, California, tragically lost his life on October 5, 2008. The incident occurred in the 2200 block of Mardel Avenue, where Torres was involved in an argument that escalated into violence. During the altercation, a man produced a gun and shot Torres multiple times. Despite efforts to save him, Torres was pronounced dead at the scene.
