On the evening of May 9, 2017, a 19-year-old Black male named Deandre Coleman was fatally shot in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident occurred around 10:10 p.m. in the 1200 block of Crofton Road. Officers responded to the scene and found Mr. Coleman suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation that followed suggested that Deandre Coleman may have been intentionally targeted in a personal dispute.
Law enforcement officials worked to identify those responsible, and their efforts eventually led them to two suspects. After gathering sufficient evidence, the Baltimore Police Department arrested two individuals in connection with the murder.
The two suspects were subsequently charged with first-degree murder for their alleged involvement in Deandre Coleman's death. Following their arrests, the case proceeded through the legal system. Ultimately, both individuals were convicted of the charges brought against them. A judge sentenced both of the convicted men to life in prison.
