Yaw Obenge-Amponsan, a 32-year-old man from Inglewood, California, tragically lost his life on July 12, 2009, after being shot on July 3, 2009. The incident occurred at approximately 11:14 p.m. in the 500 block of East 97th Street in Inglewood. Yaw was in a garage with friends when two individuals entered and began shooting. All the people in the garage were shot, but Yaw sustained the most severe injuries and succumbed to them nine days later in the hospital.
