Ashlee Walker, a 21-year-old college student and fast-food restaurant worker, tragically lost her life on December 31, 2013, in East Oakland, California. On that fateful night, Ashlee and three friends were in a PT Cruiser parked on 22nd Avenue, waiting to purchase marijuana from a dealer they knew. For reasons that remain unclear, Dashawn Cooper, who was only 17 at the time, approached their vehicle and began shooting.
