Akeem Dashawn Leggins, a 23-year-old man from Inglewood, California, was tragically shot and killed on February 18, 2014. The incident occurred near the intersection of West Beach Avenue and Venice Way, where Leggins was found lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound. Witnesses reported that a person exited a pickup truck, shot Leggins, and then quickly fled the scene in the same vehicle. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Leggins was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
