Christopher Wayne Richardson, a 22-year-old man from Los Angeles, California, was tragically shot on March 6, 2014, while standing in front of a residence in the 800 block of West 82nd Street in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood. According to reports, at least two black males drove by in a light-colored or silver sedan, and one of them opened fire, striking Richardson.
He was immediately taken to a hospital, where he remained in critical condition for nearly two weeks before succumbing to his injuries on March 19, 2014.
The shooting was linked to a gang feud involving the Crips, a notorious street gang in Los Angeles. Earlier on the same day, another individual, Douglas Henry Wooley, was also killed in what appeared to be related gang violence.
