Yunyi Zhang, aged 45, was tragically found dead on March 14, 2014, in her home in Castro Valley, California. The cause of death was determined to be gunshot wounds. According to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, Zhang was shot twice by her husband, Feng Mi, at their residence on Stanton Avenue. The couple's 14-year-old daughter discovered her mother's body in the master bedroom closet upon returning home from school.
