Alfonso Ortiz, a 34-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on January 21, 2015, in Cudahy, California. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. in the 8000 block of Wilcox Avenue. Ortiz was walking through the parking lot of a laundromat when a silver sedan approached. A passenger exited the vehicle and opened fire, striking Ortiz.
