Alfonso Ortiz, a 34-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on January 21, 2015, in Cudahy, California. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. in the 8000 block of Wilcox Avenue. The assailant then fled the scene in the car, heading west on Santa Ana Street. Ortiz was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:05 p.m.
