Elias Cavazos, a 29-year-old resident of Hemet, California, tragically lost his life on April 17, 2015. The incident occurred during a confrontation with law enforcement officers. According to reports, Cavazos was involved in a gunfight with anti-gang officers from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department and the California Highway Patrol. The officers had stopped a vehicle in which Cavazos was a passenger, leading to an exchange of gunfire that resulted in his death.
