Bryan Hernandez, a 19-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on June 30, 2015, in Commerce, California. The incident occurred in the 5900 block of Eastern Avenue while Hernandez was bicycling home from work in East Los Angeles. The initial report of the incident was mistaken for a possible hit-and-run because Hernandez was found by the road with his bicycle.
