Andre Terell Berero, a 23-year-old man from Long Beach, California, tragically lost his life on August 23, 2015. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on the 100 block of East Pacific Coast Highway. According to reports, Berero had driven up to a liquor store where an altercation between two groups of men was already underway. As he exited his vehicle, he was struck by gunfire in the upper torso.
Despite the immediate response from paramedics and being transported to a local hospital, Berero was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The investigation into Berero's death revealed that the shooting was potentially gang-related.
