James Forrester, aged 43, was fatally shot on December 18, 2017, in Baltimore, Maryland, outside the Baltimore Tattoo Museum where he worked as a body piercer. Known also as "Reverend Jim," Forrester was a musician and bassist for the bands Foghound and Serpents of Secrecy. The incident occurred while he was on a phone call with his wife. Shortly after his death, a suspect, Michael Bailey, was arrested and charged, but he was later acquitted by a jury in 2018 due to insufficient evidence​
