His body was discovered in his North Hills apartment, located in the 8500 block of Columbus Avenue, after neighbors reported a foul odor emanating from the unit. Upon investigation, it was determined that Greenberg had died from a gunshot wound to the head. The Los Angeles County coroner's records confirmed the cause of death as a homicide.
