Moses Pastemes, a 20-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on January 20, 2016, in the 600 block of East 24th Street in Historic South-Central Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. while Pastemes was walking west on East 24th Street. He was approached by two Latino men who shot him before fleeing the scene. Pastemes was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:56 a.m.
