Julian Barragan, a 21-year-old resident of Santa Ana, California, tragically lost his life on March 13, 2016. Julian was walking in the early hours of the morning, around 4:30 a.m., in the 4400 block of West Kent Avenue when he was approached by an unknown assailant who fired multiple gunshots at him. The incident occurred just a day after a local anti-violence rally, which added a layer of poignancy to the tragedy. Julian was pronounced dead at the scene, and his death was ruled a homicide.
