On June 5, 2016, at approximately 2:45 p.m., San Jose police officers responded to reports of a shooting near North 26th and East Julian streets. Upon arrival, they discovered 57-year-old Edward Garcia Jr. lying in the roadway, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
