Balham Mitchell Frierson, a 45-year-old resident of Los Angeles, was tragically shot and killed on June 16, 2016. The incident occurred in the 4300 block of Garthwaite Avenue in the Leimert Park neighborhood. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, Frierson was shot in front of an apartment complex entryway shortly before 2:30 p.m. The assailant approached Frierson, shot him, and then fled north on Garthwaite Avenue. Frierson was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:50 p.m.
