On the night of July 6, 2016, Anthony Ramirez, a 20-year-old Hispanic male from Santa Ana, California, was fatally shot while riding his bicycle in the 2100 block of West Washington Avenue. Responding to reports of gunfire shortly after 10 p.m., Santa Ana police officers discovered Ramirez lying unconscious in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
