Jose Manuel Melendez, a 21-year-old resident of La Habra, California, tragically lost his life on August 12, 2016, in West Covina. The incident occurred at a house party in the 800 block of East Michelle Street. According to reports, West Covina police received a call about gunshots at approximately 10:15 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Melendez in the backyard with gunshot wounds to his chest and back.
