Elian Christian Calvo, a 16-year-old resident of Stockton, California, tragically lost his life on September 4, 2016. Elian was shot near the intersection of Dallas and Connecticut avenues around 4:20 p.m. on that fateful Sunday. He was one of two teenagers targeted in the shooting; the other victim, also 16, survived with non-life-threatening injuries. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, Elian succumbed to his injuries, leaving his family and community in mourning.
