Andy Steven Portillo, a 25-year-old Latino, was tragically shot to death on September 25, 2016, in Gardena, California. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of 152nd Street. Gardena police responded to a call about shots fired and found Portillo lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 1 a.m. The Los Angeles County coroner's office confirmed the cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds.
