Caesar Plascencia, a 37-year-old resident of Castro Valley, California, was tragically killed in a possible drive-by shooting on the evening of November 28, 2016. The incident occurred in front of his home on Wilson Avenue around 6 p.m. Deputies from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of gunfire and found Plascencia suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of a friend who was administering CPR when deputies arrived, Plascencia was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after medics attempted to treat him.
The investigation into Plascencia's death revealed that he was shot several times while standing outside his home. The gunfire also struck a parked car nearby. At the time of the shooting, Plascencia's children, a 9-year-old daughter and a 12-year-old son, were inside the house but were unharmed. The authorities have not identified any suspects or determined a motive for the shooting. Detectives canvassed the area, searching for witnesses and surveillance footage, while evidence technicians meticulously examined the crime scene for clues.
Despite the extensive efforts of law enforcement, no arrests have been made in connection with Plascencia's murder. The case remains unsolved, with investigators continuing to seek information from the public that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the perpetrator(s). The lack of a clear motive and the absence of suspects have made the investigation particularly challenging for the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.
