Eder Mike Marroquin, a 33-year-old resident of Castro Valley, California, tragically lost his life on December 4, 2016. Marroquin was fatally shot during an altercation at a house party held in a garage on Denning Court. The incident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. when a dispute between Marroquin and another party attendee, Ryan Gutierrez, escalated into violence. According to witness accounts, Gutierrez, a 25-year-old man from Hayward, pulled out a black semi-automatic firearm from his waistband during the argument and shot Marroquin once in the abdomen.
