Carol Ann Cole, a 17-year-old from Kalamazoo, Michigan, was discovered dead on January 28, 1981, in a wooded area near Bellevue, Bossier Parish, Louisiana. Carol had run away from Texas months before her death, after having lived there with her mother. At the time of discovery, her body was in a severely decomposed state, and she remained unidentified for over three decades, becoming known as "Bossier Doe."
