On March 10, 2017, Alex Esquivel, a 27-year-old resident of Fresno, California, was tragically killed in a double homicide in Orange Cove. The incident occurred near a bike trail at Railroad Avenue and 11th Street. Esquivel, along with 24-year-old Javier Lizaola, was found shot to death around 8 p.m. by two children walking home from a nearby store.
