Jose V. Mejia Diaz, a 22-year-old resident of San Jose, California, tragically lost his life on the night of December 27, 2017. Diaz was the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred around 9 p.m. on the 2500 block of Van Winkle Lane in East San Jose. Responding officers found him suffering from at least one gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
