In the quiet morning of January 25, 2011, violence shattered the calm of the Central City neighborhood in New Orleans. Kendrick Gibbs, a 24-year-old male, was discovered lifeless, the victim of a fatal shooting. The incident occurred near the intersection of 6th and Danneel Streets, a location that would become synonymous with a life cut tragically short.
