Michael Walker, a 38-year-old resident of Poway, California, tragically lost his life on August 17, 2019. The incident occurred at the Sofi Poway apartment complex, where Walker was asleep in his bed when a bullet penetrated the wall of his apartment and struck him in the midsection. The bullet was fired from the neighboring apartment during an argument between Manuula Save, 23, and his older brother. The altercation began over a phone charger, escalating to the point where Save discharged a firearm in his brother's direction. Unfortunately, the bullet missed its intended target and instead traveled through the wall, fatally wounding Walker. He was transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries about an hour later.
Following the incident, Manuula Save was arrested and initially faced a murder charge. However, during the legal proceedings, Save pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and a gun-use allegation.
