In a tragic turn of events that compounded a family's prior loss, Hosea Jackson, a 63-year-old male, was fatally beaten on June 1, 2023, outside a convenience store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The incident occurred at the Triple S Food Mart on North Foster Drive, the same location where Alton Sterling had been killed years prior, an event that led to protests and ultimately the ambush that claimed the life of Jackson's son, Baton Rouge Police Corporal Montrell Jackson.
