Emily Cortez, a 19-year-old resident of San Diego, California, tragically lost her life on July 15, 2020. The incident occurred in the Mountain View neighborhood, where she was found with a gunshot wound to her upper torso on an upstairs walkway of an apartment complex. Despite immediate medical aid provided by a man at the scene and the efforts of emergency responders, Emily was pronounced dead at the location.
