Death by Force

David Elijah Willis, a 24-year-old Black man, was tragically shot and killed on July 24, 2020, in the Vermont Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. in the 500 block of West 117th Street. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, Willis was found in the front yard of a home with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
