Marya Neufeld, a 16-year-old girl from Bakersfield, California, was tragically found dead on March 6, 2021, near an orchard northeast of Arvin. Her body was discovered by deputies from the Kern County Sheriff's Office in the early morning hours, lying next to an orchard near Towerline Road and Buena Vista Boulevard.
