On April 5, 2021, Zhaiming Li, a 37-year-old resident of Monterey Park, California, was tragically killed in a shooting at the Music BBQ Bar. The incident occurred when Jing Yixin, 38, entered the restaurant and opened fire. Surveillance footage captured Yixin pulling a gun from a brown paper bag and shooting Li multiple times as he sat at a table.
