Samantha Nicole Lancaster, a 29-year-old resident of Pomona, California, tragically lost her life on April 10, 2021. The incident occurred in her home located in the 800 block of West Orange Grove Avenue. On that fateful morning, a call was made to the police reporting that a woman had been shot. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Lancaster suffering from gunshot wounds.
Despite the efforts of the Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel who treated her at the scene, she succumbed to her injuries.
The investigation revealed that the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute between Lancaster and her partner, Joseph Pinedo. During the altercation, Pinedo allegedly grabbed a handgun, leading to a struggle over the weapon. It was during this struggle that Lancaster was fatally shot. Joseph Pinedo, 30, was arrested and charged with murder and child endangerment.
