Paul Schrager, a resident of Oakland, California, was tragically killed on May 7, 2021, in a violent shootout. Schrager, who lived in an RV, became a symbol of the homeless crisis in the Bay Area. On the day of his death, four armed robbers attempted to break into his RV. Schrager returned to his RV during the robbery, leading to a confrontation that escalated into a shootout.
