Phillip Jesse Campas, a 35-year-old deputy with the Kern County Sheriff's Office, tragically lost his life on July 25, 2021, in Wasco, California. Campas, a dedicated law enforcement officer and former U.S. Marine, was responding to a SWAT call involving a barricaded suspect who had taken his family hostage.
