David Riggle, a 40-year-old resident of Citrus Heights, Sacramento County, was tragically killed on the night of August 5, 2021. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a person lying on the sidewalk in the 6400 block of Verner Avenue. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Riggle with at least one gunshot wound. Despite immediate first aid efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene by the Sacramento Metro Fire Department.
