Juan Luis Olvera-Preciado, aged 59, tragically lost his life on August 21, 2021, in Guadalupe, California. On that evening, officers from the Guadalupe Police Department (GPD) were attempting to apprehend a suspect known for previous criminal activities, including starting a small fire earlier that night. During the pursuit, Officer Miguel Jaimes fired three shots at the suspect, who had ignored commands and made a motion as if he had a weapon. Unfortunately, none of the bullets hit the suspect. ...
