Craig Batiste, a 54-year-old former gang member turned community leader, was tragically shot and killed on September 8, 2021, in Westmont, California. Batiste, known for his work in gang intervention and community peacekeeping, was gunned down near the intersection of 111th Street and Hobart Boulevard.
